 FAQ

  • Therapy intensives are ideal for children (ages 6-12) struggling with:

✔️ Anxiety & Worry – Constant fears, excessive stress, or trouble calming down.
✔️ Big Emotions & Emotional Regulation – Frequent outbursts, meltdowns, or mood swings.
✔️ Behavioral Challenges – Difficulty following rules, impulse control issues, or defiance.
✔️ Low Confidence & Self-Esteem – Negative self-talk, social struggles, or avoidance of new situations.
✔️ Difficulty Coping with Life Changes – Adjusting to a new school, divorce, or other transitions.
✔️ Parents Seeking Expert Guidance – Learn actionable strategies to support your child at home.

  • While traditional weekly therapy is beneficial, a Therapy Intensive provides a faster, more focused approach to help your child make meaningful progress in a shorter time frame.

✔️ Deep, Focused Work in One Session – A 2-hour intensive allows us to dive deeper into your child’s challenges and work through them in a way that’s not possible in shorter weekly sessions.

✔️ Faster Progress – Instead of waiting months to see change, intensives accelerate emotional growth by equipping your child with skills they can use right away.

✔️ Less Disruption to Busy Schedules – Weekly therapy can be hard to fit into your family's routine. An intensive gives your child the support they need without the ongoing time commitment of weekly sessions.

✔️ A Tailored Approach – The session is customized to your child’s specific needs, incorporating EMDR, DBT skills, and parent coaching in a way that maximizes impact.

✔️ Support for Parents – Unlike many traditional therapy models, intensives include parent coaching, so you leave with clear strategies to help your child at home.

  • Absolutely! Therapy Intensives work great as a] to ongoing therapy. They provide focused, accelerated support while still aligning with your child’s current treatment plan.

To ensure the best care, I ask that you sign a Release of Information so I can collaborate with your child’s primary therapist! This allows us to work together seamlessly and support your child’s progress in the most effective way!

  • As Therapy Intensives are a premium service, they are not covered by insurance.
