DOES IT FEEL LIKE AN HOUR OF THERAPY JUST ISN’T ENOUGH?
Your child is facing a singular challenge that feels overwhelming:
❖Anxiety over an upcoming school recital.
❖Performance anxiety about their soccer game.
❖Nerves about their first sleep-away camp.
… Just to name a few.
They need something targeted and effective to help them push past the fear and show up with confidence. A focused 90-minute EMDR session can give them the breakthrough they need to feel prepared, capable, and in control.
No more stopping therapy right when your child is on the verge of a breakthrough!

Even with strategies and coping skills in place,
your teen’s anxiety continues to make daily life
more challenging than it should be.
With the right support, real progress is within reach.
Think of it as the Disney Fast-Pass to therapy.
⟶ More time in each session means fewer sessions overall, leading to faster results.
⟶ More progress in a single session minimizes lingering worries and uncertainty between appointments.
⟶ Fewer sessions overall means less disruption to your child’s school and extracurricular activities.
⟶ One extended session allows for the same depth of progress as three-four standard therapy sessions, reducing overall time in therapy.
What Is EMDR?
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing memories, anxiety, and trauma. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR uses guided eye movements to help rewire the brain’s response to stressful or traumatic experiences, allowing your teen to develop healthier coping mechanisms and reduce emotional distress.
EMDR can help anxious teens reprocess distressing experiences by:
❖ Rewires Negative Thought Patterns – EMDR helps teens process and reframe anxious thoughts, reducing overwhelming fears and self-doubt.
❖ Reduces Emotional Reactivity – By desensitizing distressing memories and triggers, EMDR decreases emotional intensity, making it easier for teens to manage
anxiety in daily life.
❖ Strengthens Coping Skills – EMDR integrates positive beliefs and self-soothing techniques, empowering teens to handle stress more effectively.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR often leads to quicker breakthroughs, helping teens feel relief and regain confidence sooner.

Unlike talk therapy, which focuses on discussing emotions and experiences, EMDR helps reprocess distressing memories and emotions using eye movements or other bilateral stimulation. This allows your child to work through anxiety more effectively without having to talk extensively about their experiences.

Absolutely! Adjunct EMDR sessions work great alongside ongoing therapy. They provide focused, accelerated support while still aligning with your child’s current treatment plan.
To ensure the best care, I ask that you sign a Release of Information so I can collaborate with your child’s primary therapist! This allows us to work together seamlessly and support your child’s progress in the most effective way!

Unfortunately, insurance does not cover anything over 53+ minutes, and extended EMDR sessions are considered a premium service.
